INDUSTRIAL MANAGEMENT ENHANCEMENT

Time-in-State®

Time-in-State® utilizes various data sources to generate actionable information.

It complements existing systems and projects. It follows a structured process to develop solutions with the aim of increasing efficiency and effectiveness of the operation.

Time-in-State® Analysis

Implementation

Implementation Process Flow

Project structure – the project takes the format of a long term relationship with the client with the aim of implementing sustainable improvement and developing and retaining knowledge for the operation.

Our IME engineers work with your team to capture experiential knowledge. The sequence of activities are executed iteratively to deliver optimization throughout the plant.

Benefits realize typically 8 – 12 weeks after the project start. Projects become self funding within the first year.

Full Asset Potential Review

Phase I
  • Determine the functions and systems affecting plant performance.
  • Quantify the asset potential for each function and system.
  • The client team contributes toward the definition of each system’s optimum envelope.
Derive the Optimum Envelope (OE)
Work with the plant personnel to identify from process data.
Quantify Opportunity Upfront

After deriving the OE, it is possible to determine the value of the project (expressed in monetary values).

Team & Organizational Alignment

Phase II

Utilise process data to establish a common understanding of issues affecting performance. Alignment takes place across disciplines and departments. Utilise a common performance metric to describe performance.

Team Learning
Utilize process data to facilitate associative learning, and define cause-and-effect relationships.
Decision-Making
Generate actionable information useful to supervisory management.

High Impact Initiatives

Phase III
  • Measure and quantify incremental improvement and provide feedback.
  • 24/7 Monitoring and real-time interpretation of data.
  • Provide early warning of potential losses and facilitate proactive management of risks.
Module Performance
Goals and objectives are translated into a performance metric that applies to functions and systems. This metric facilitates quantification of incremental performance. When deployed in real-time, the models facilitate real-time root cause analysis.
Strategy
Measuring performance at modular level provides short interval feedback regarding the success and effectiveness of tactics.
